ABOUT
A country pub with proper roots.
The Huntsman has been part of Strumpshaw for generations. What you'll find today is a working country pub — a bar that pours real ales, a kitchen that takes Norfolk seriously, and rooms upstairs when you can't quite face the drive home.

Local first, always.
Head Chef Francis Cage and Sous Chef Mathew Marsh run a daily-changing specials board built around what's actually in season. Game from local shoots, meat from Norfolk butchers, vegetables from farms you could drive to in ten minutes.
Alongside the specials, you'll find the pub classics you'd hope for — properly done, honestly priced, and served without fuss.
THE BAR
Real ales, Norfolk gins, and a fire in winter.
The bar pours Norfolk-brewed ales, regional gins, well-chosen wines and honest cocktails. Cosy corners, darts and pool if you fancy them, and dogs welcome throughout.
Happy Hour runs Monday to Friday, 4pm to 5pm — 2-for-1 on all standard drinks.

DOG FRIENDLY
Bring the dog.
They'll fit right in.
Muddy paws, wet coats, wagging tails — all welcome. Water bowls at the bar, a warm floor by the fire, and one of the three upstairs rooms (The Fox) is set up for small dogs to stay the night.
